Ryan came home a couple days ago and said he had a surprise for me. He handed me an Aldis (you know the grocery store) paper sack. My first thought was he brought me home some cashews. I blogged the other day about how we stopped at Aldis and he ran in to get me a ham (which we are eating tonight by the way)...well, he forgot that I also said, "Get me some cashews." So I knew that he had been up in Athens and thought it was pretty sweet he had remembered that I wanted some cashews the week before. I opened up the paper bag and there was my new digital camera! I still haven't figured out his need to gift it to me in the Aldis bag but that's just the stuff that makes Ryan so special.
I really wish I knew more about photography because I'm sure that this could be an even better shot, but here is the a picture I took of the moon last night.
And then I took a picture of the snowman mug I dug out of the cupboard. Since we put up our Christmas decorations on Monday, I figured it was a-ok to break out the snowman mug.
The very best part is that I thought I was going to have to say good-bye to my beloved Swiss Miss hot chocolate after being more careful about what I'm eating and watching the calories. Thankfully, I discovered that Swiss Miss makes a very tasty "diet" hot chocolate that is only 25 calories (plus the skim milk I use to make hot chocolate...I can't believe some people use water).
A great night at bible study last night. What an encouraging time it is for me every week. We have such a sweet group and I learn so much from each one of them. It's great to be able to know God is working in my life, but then to witness Him at work in other people's lives really just a neat thing!
